
The Pro Shop at Porters Park is situated in the main car park to the right hand side when entering the Club entrance from Shenley Hill.
As well as a full range of merchandise our resident pro David Gleeson offers lessons to all abilities and age groups.
The Pro Shop is also the source of information for both Members and visitors regarding all aspects of golf.
David Gleeson, the Head Professional at Porters Park, is also a member of 'Foremost Golf' the UK's largest buying group.

David Gleeson, the Head Professional at Porters Park has been at the club since 1988, moving from the Hythe Imperial in Kent. David turned professional in 1970 at the age of 16, learning his golf as an amateur at Royal St Georges, Sandwich. In 1971 he passed through PGA school and became the youngest club pro in Kent at the Walmer and Kingsdown Golf Club.
Since joining Porters Park, he has devoted most of his time to teaching and to club repairs, both of which he enjoys greatly.
MATTHEW MASTERS P.G.A. TEACHING
Matthew arrived at Porters Park in March 07 as our Teaching Professional. He embarked on his career as a Professional as Assistant Professional at Ashridge Golf Club where he enjoyed six years gaining valuable knowledge. Matthew became a fully qualified Professional in 1995 and was appointed Senior Assistant at Brocket Hall in 1997 where he developed a keen interest in the teachings of the game. In 2002, he was appointed Head Professional at Lamerwood Country Club.
Matthew has attended European P.G.A. teaching conferences where he has learned from the best coaches in the game and has a Diploma in Sports Psychology. Matthew has gained 17 years experience in the Golf industry and has used this to create his own way of teaching golf.
Matthew is a keen competitor and plays in tournaments in the East Region P.G.A and Herts Alliance Pro-Am events. He looks forward to working with you to improve your golf.
