 COMPETITION - EXTERNAL
Herts League - 4bbb format junior with handicap 28 or less playing off white are eligible to play.
There is also the Ver league singles.
COMPETITION - INTERNAL
In-house matches are arranged with the Tigers, Ladies, Foxes and Scratch Team these are announced on the juniors
notice board.
JUNIOR COACHING
ALL junior members are invited to these sessions run by a PGA Professional.
There are pre-junior sessions which normally take place on the practice ground on selected Sundays
10.30am-11.30am - both boys and girls are welcome.
We also run an introduction to golf for girls.
CHILD PROTECTION
A lot of guide lines have been issued to us to help us provide GOOD PRACTICE within our club for juniors. All
juniors are asked to sign the books which are in the locker rooms to let us know they are on the course. We have
got the new application forms which everyone has signed. The people concerned within the club have been on
training. We have appointed a Child Welfare Officer, Peter Marshall, and we have a policy in place to ensure all
junior golfers are protected and kept safe from harm. We would ask parents to help us. Please ensure that when you
drop your child off at the club someone knows he is there and also ensure he is picked up from the club grounds not
out on the side of the road. Also ensure that there is always a telephone number that you can be contacted
on.
