General
IT IS THE POLICY OF THIS CLUB THAT ALL PERSONS MAINTAIN STANDARDS OF DRESS AND BEHAVIOUR IN KEEPING WITH THE
TRADITIONS OF A PRIVATE MEMBERS GOLF CLUB.
THE COMMITTEE MAY AMEND ANY OF THE UNDER MENTIONED DRESS REGULATIONS TO MEET CLIMATIC CONDITION CHANGES, AND
SUCH AMENDMENTS WILL BE POSTED ON THE ‘NEW NOTICES BOARD’ WHILST ANY CHANGES ARE IN FORCE.
In the Clubhouse
1 Members and Visitors should not enter the lounge and lounge bar area in soiled clothing. Smart casual wear is
acceptable as detailed below.
2 Shirts should have an attached collar and should not be worn outside trousers.
3 Blue denim type jeans must not be worn
4 Acceptable footwear should be worn, sandals without socks are not permitted for gentlemen. Golf shoes, even
with soft spikes or moulded sole, are not permitted in the lounge/bar. Sports training shoes are not permitted.
5 Gentlemen may wear tailored shorts 2"-3" above the knee with knee length hose or white short socks Ladies may
wear short socks and Bermuda length shorts.
6 In the dining room gentlemen must wear jackets with either collar and ties, cravats or roll-neck pullovers
after 18.00 hours Monday to Saturday and after 12.00 hours on Sundays. Elsewhere, and at other times, jackets and
ties are not obligatory. The Committee have the discretion to relax this regulation for certain club socials and
private functions.
7 Boys, under the age of 12, do not require jackets and ties in the dining room, but must be smartly
dressed.
8 The wearing of golfing headgear, eg hats, visors, peeks, etc, is not permitted in the Palm Court, lounge,
dining room and bars.
9 Golf clubs and/or golf bags must not be carried through the Clubhouse.
On the Course
